Chinese Program Lead Teacher

The Chinese Lead Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality Chinese language and cultural instruction to students in a supportive and engaging classroom environment. This role includes curriculum planning, classroom management, student assessment, and supervision of assistant or co-teachers.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate Chinese language lessons aligned with school curriculum and student needs

• Prepare teaching materials and integrate cultural content (e.g., holidays, customs, traditions) into lessons

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student assessments

• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as needed

• Create the Teachers and TAs contact form

• Create the Students' Attendance Sheet

• Schedule one-on-one meetings with each teacher

• Weekend Classroom Assignment floor plan

• Prepare classroom supplies for each class

• Create a weekend project album to upload course and activity photos weekly during the semester

• Purchase items needed for the credit shop

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Chinese Language, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

• Native fluency in Mandarin Chinese; proficiency in English

• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills

• Passion for teaching and promoting Chinese language and culture

 

Preferred Skills

• Experience in curriculum development

• Ability to incorporate technology and multimedia in teaching

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience working with diverse student populations

Program and Operations Assistant 

Kwong Kow Chinese School (KKCS) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Programs & Operations Associate to support both the school’s outreach efforts and daily administrative operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment and is comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities, including digital communications, event support, and school office logistics.

 

Operations & Administration

• Handle daily office tasks: inquiries, record keeping, and supply management.

• Support enrollment, scheduling, and communications.

• Coordinate logistics for classes, events, and field trips.

• Maintain internal systems and support staff communication and workflow.

 

 Program Coordination

• Assist in planning and running after school, summer, and weekend programs.

• Manage registration, attendance, and communication with students and families.

• Help ensure programs are age-appropriate and culturally relevant.

• Collect data to assess program impact and suggest improvements.

• Support outreach, fundraising, and project coordination as needed. Marketing & Outreach

• Plan and execute marketing campaigns across email, social media, and print.

• Maintain and update the school’s website and social media

• Support outreach to families, partners, and the broader community.

• Assist with donor communications (newsletters, thank-you letters, campaign updates).

• Track engagement metrics and help document programs through photos/videos.

 

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in education, nonprofit, or administrative work.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; , English and Chinese/cantonese is a plus.

• Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable with technology, including Google Workspace, Excel, Canva, and basic database entry, Adobe Suite is a plus but not required

• A team player with a commitment to serving immigrant families and diverse communities.

 

Work Environment:

• Onsite role with occasional evening or weekend hours for events or family meetings.

• Light lifting of supplies and materials (up to 20 lbs) may be required.

Afterschool Program Vacancies 课后班职位

Our Afterschool Program provides support for our students’ academic and social needs. Positions for the 2024 - 2025 school year will be on board by the end of August.
