Teacher Highlights:
Shirley Wong 黄秀儀 began studying dulcimer and Chinese percussion at the age of three under the mentorship of Professor Zhentian Zhang from the Beijing Conservatory of Music. Through years of dedicated training and Professor Zhang’s expert guidance, Shirley has become a seasoned performer and educator. She has delivered hundreds of performances at Chinese community events and major collegiate functions, earning widespread praise for her artistry.
Driven by a passion to preserve and promote traditional Chinese culture, Shirley developed her own educational programs in dulcimer and percussion. Her curriculum not only fosters musical skills but also supports children's social development, encourages cultural exchange, builds self-confidence, and nurtures a spirit of collaboration—all essential to healthy, holistic growth.
黃秀儀女士出生於美國波士頓，自幼師承著名揚琴與鼓樂演奏家、教育家張鎮田教授，開始學習揚琴與中國傳統打擊樂器。在張老師多年悉心指導與培養下，黃老師技藝日益精進，並成為一位經驗豐富的音樂教師。多年來，她受邀於波士頓地區華人社區及多所高等學府演出逾百場，廣受觀眾好評。
為了傳承與弘揚中華優秀傳統文化，黃老師積極投入於揚琴與鼓樂的教育推廣工作。她致力於透過音樂教育，促進兒童的社會發展與中美文化交流，培養孩子的自信心與團隊合作精神，幫助他們在愉悅中茁壯成長。
Course Description:

Perfect for beginners and intermediate players, students will learn basic techniques, simple melodies, and how to play traditional and contemporary tunes. Course cancellation and change policy:
Course cancellation or change may happen when the minimum student numbers or other requirements were not met. The students/parents will be notified by email within 72 hours of which KKCS and the partnering institution have decided on the cancellation or change.
課程取消政策： 主辦單位保有最終修改、變更、課程及取消課程之權利，若有相關異動將會在廣教學校與合作機構決定最終方案後七十二小時內以電郵形式通知學生與家長。
